Ed Schmidt was
appointed as Director of the Wyoming Department of Revenue by Governor Dave
Freudenthal and confirmed by the Wyoming Senate in February 2003. He
graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1967
and received his law degree from the University of Wyoming in 1974. Prior
to joining the Department of Revenue, Ed served on the state Board of
Equalization from 1998-2003. he also
served as Administrator of Revenue's Mineral Tax Division for three years and
was responsible for the assessment and collection of all mineral taxes in the
state.
Christie
Yurek was selected to be Manager of the Administrative
Services Division in July 2004. She had previously been with the
Division for 10 years serving Supervisory positions. She came to the
Department of Revenue in 1994 with 10 years in the Banking Industry managing
operations.
Dan Noble is the
Administrator of the Excise Tax Division appointed in March 2000, and prior to
that Administrator of the Administrative Services Division for the Department
of Revenue. He is a graduate of the University of Wyoming with a Bachelors
degree in Accounting and served in the U.S. Army for seven years. He worked
in public accounting as a microcomputer consultant for three years and spent
six years in the private sector as a Chief Financial Officer.
 Greg Cook joined the Department of Revenue Liquor Division serving as
Administrator in July 2007. He graduated from West Virginia University in
1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture. Prior to joining
the Liquor Division, Greg was the Wyoming State Manager for Young's Market
Company. He represented many popular national spirit brands. Greg
has over 25 years of experience in the Beverage Industry, including several
years as operation manager for a warehouse facility in Alabama, as a beer and
wine salesman, and as a store manager for a grocery and package liquor store.
 Craig
Grenvik was appointed the Administrator in
the Mineral Tax Division of the Wyoming Department of Revenue in November 2004.
He graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science
degree in Petroleum Engineering in 1988 and received a Masters of Business
Administration degree from the University of Wyoming in 1995. Prior to
accepting the Administrator position, Craig had seven years of experience as a
manager for the Division, had worked in the Department of Audit from 1992 to
1997 performing oil & gas, coal, trona, and bentonite severance and ad
valorem tax audits as well as audits of Federal royalties on oil & gas
production.
